How switching pharmacy works
- 1. Send your details. The pharmacy team uses them to identify you and contact you if anything needs checking.
- 2. The nomination is recorded. Future electronic prescriptions are normally sent to Leeds Pharmacy.
- 3. Keep ordering repeats as usual. Use the NHS App or the method agreed with your GP; nomination does not order medicine.
- 4. Collect or arrange delivery. Call to confirm delivery coverage, days and any medicine-specific handover needs.

What does nominating a pharmacy mean?
Your NHS Electronic Prescription Service nomination tells a prescriber where to send an electronic prescription. It does not order a repeat prescription by itself.
Can I change my nominated pharmacy?
Yes. You can switch pharmacy through the NHS App, your GP surgery or a pharmacy. If a prescription has already been issued, contact the current or new pharmacy first so they can check where it was sent.
Do I have to stay with the same pharmacy?
No. A nomination is your choice and can be changed. It is designed to make electronic prescriptions more convenient, not to remove your choice.
Does nominating Leeds Pharmacy include delivery?
You can ask for free local prescription delivery, but delivery coverage and arrangements must be confirmed for your address. Nomination alone does not schedule a delivery.
